Frequently Asked Registration Questions
Everything parents, coaches, and guardians need to know about age cutoffs, team placement, equipment rules, and seasonal policies.
AZYSL follows US Youth Soccer calendar-year guidelines (January 1 through December 31). A player's age group is determined by the year in which they were born, not their current school grade. For example, if your player turns 10 at any point in the calendar year, they will register for the U10 division. Play-up requests require league approval, while playing down in an younger age group is strictly prohibited.
